Wood Fired Ceramics
These pieces were fired for 50 hours straight in a Japanese noborigama kiln with a team of eight ceramic artists. In the first chamber, the surfaces were impacted by the prevalent wood ash, while in the second chamber soda ash was introduced, creating soft flashes of color and texture. Together, these elements -and a bit of kiln magic- make every piece completely one of a kind. I hope you enjoy discovering the unique character of each piece as much as I enjoyed creating them.
